Sources & disclosures

Trust grows when readers can see what kind of claim they are reading.

Grace at the Roots is a personal journal with an evidence-led standard—not a medical practice, research institution, or substitute for professional care.

01

Personal experience

What I felt, tried, noticed, feared, hoped, or learned. It may create connection, but it cannot prove what will happen for someone else.

02

Interpretation

My understanding of a passage, study, tradition, or experience. Interpretation will be identified honestly and kept distinct from direct quotation or established fact.

03

Evidence

Information supported by identifiable sources. I will favor original research, authoritative institutions, and current professional guidance where appropriate.

The evidence standard

Questions I will ask before publishing a health claim

  1. What exactly is being claimed?
  2. Is this a personal story, a theory, early research, or established guidance?
  3. Can I find the original study or authoritative source?
  4. Who was studied, how many people participated, and for how long?
  5. What are the known risks, limits, uncertainties, and conflicts of interest?
  6. Am I making hope sound more certain than the evidence allows?

Medical disclaimer

Information, not individualized advice
